Varje år arrangerar det nationella centret för samverkansinlärning Supplemental Instruction (SI), vid Lunds Tekniska Högskola en ceremoni för att belöna SI-ledare. SI-program förekommer internationellt och syftar till att stödja studenter att lyckas på särskilt svåra kurser. Det är mycket glädjande att två SLU-studenter från lantmästarprogrammet, Anton Månsson och Marie Arvidsson, belönades vid högtidligheten den 18 maj i år med motiveringen att:
de tagit en ledarroll för gruppen av SI-ledare i sin årskurs och att deras insatser varit av mycket stor betydelse för den genomslagskraft och framgång som metoden fått i utbildningen.
Den 10 maj arrangerade Utrikesdepartementet och Svenska institutet en ceremoni i Arvfurstens palats för att uppmärksamma framstående internationella studenter. SLU:s mastersstudent Hernán Dario Capador Barreto fick ta emot The Global Swede Award, en utmärkelse som är en del av en långsiktig vision för att bygga och stärka relationer med internationella studenter i Sverige. Awards for SLU students
Each year, the National Centre for Supplemental Instruction at Lund University stages a ceremony to award SI supervisors. SI programmes are run in several countries and aim to help students succeed in particularly ‘difficult’ introductory courses. I was very happy to see two SLU students from the Agricultural and Rural Management programme, Anton Månsson and Marie Arvidsson, awarded at the ceremony on 18 May. The motivation read: ‘they have taken on a leading role for the group of SI supervisors in their year, and their work has been of great importance for the impact and success of the SI method.’
On 10 May, the Foreign Office and the Swedish Institute hosted a ceremony at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to pay recognition to distinguished international students. SLU Master’s student Hernán Dario Capador Barreto received the Global Swede Award, an award that is part of a long-term vision to build and strengthen relations with international students in Sweden. From the nomination: ‘Hernán Dario Capador Barreto is an MSc student in Plant Biology at SLU with exceptional social skills and study results … Hernán is curious and ambitious with high capacity and is always close to a smile – a good example to other students and the best possible ambassador for plant biology, SLU and Sweden.’
